How Much Does a Dental Implant Cost in Kerala?

Dental implant planning and assessment

Dental implant cost in Kerala ranges widely — and that range is confusing when you are trying to make a decision. The variation is real and it is driven by several factors that are worth understanding before you choose a clinic based on price alone.

What a single dental implant includes

A complete implant involves three distinct components, each priced separately or bundled differently by different clinics:

  • The implant fixture: the titanium screw placed into the jawbone. This is the most variable cost — brand, material quality, and country of manufacture all affect price.
  • The abutment: the connector piece between the implant and the crown.
  • The crown: the visible porcelain tooth on top. Crown quality ranges from basic to high-grade zirconia.

Some clinics quote only the fixture cost. Others give an all-in price. Always ask: does this quote include the abutment and crown? What brand of implant is this? Is CBCT scanning included?

What drives the cost up

Bone grafting: If bone has been lost at the site (common when a tooth was removed months or years ago), bone graft material is needed before or alongside implant placement. This adds both cost and healing time.

Sinus lift: Upper back teeth are close to the sinus floor. If bone is insufficient here, a sinus lift procedure is sometimes needed — a specialist procedure with additional cost.

Implant brand: Premium implant systems with extensive clinical research behind them cost more but have better documented long-term outcomes. Generic or unverified implant systems are less expensive but carry higher risk of failure.

CBCT scanning: A cone-beam CT scan is essential for safe implant planning — it shows bone volume, density, and proximity to nerves and sinus. Not every clinic includes this. It should not be skipped.

Why the cheapest quote can be the most expensive long-term

An implant that fails — due to poor brand quality, inadequate bone preparation, or infection from improper placement — requires removal, bone grafting, and replacement. The cost of a failed implant is two to three times the cost of doing it correctly the first time. Implant surgery on undisclosed bone deficiency, skipping the CBCT scan, or using unverified implant systems are the three most common reasons implants fail.

When comparing quotes, look at what is included, ask which implant brand is being used and request its clinical success rate documentation, and verify that CBCT planning is part of the process.

What we charge and why

At Arackal Dental Care, we give every implant patient an itemised breakdown before treatment begins: the specific implant brand and its background, whether grafting will be needed and the cost if so, the crown type, and the complete all-in total. No costs are added after treatment starts unless a genuinely unforeseen clinical finding emerges — and we communicate that clearly if it does.

We also offer flexible payment options so that the cost can be spread over time without the implant being delayed.
